BIPOC Design Resources

PDX in Color

PORTLAND IN COLOR envisions a future where our city’s Black, Indigenous, and/or people of color creatives are supported beyond visibility. Through community events, local partnerships, and a public directory, we create and foster opportunities for collaboration, artistic and professional growth, and tools to sustain creative livelihoods. We highlight the voices, experiences, and contributions of our community as a vital step towards an equitable arts and media landscape.

Where are the Black Designers?

Where are the Black Designers is an initiative and platform for Black designers. By connecting designers, educators, and creative leaders we host a dialogue about change, both in and out of the design industry.

People of Craft

People of Craft is a growing showcase of creatives of color and their craft in design, advertising, tech, illustration, lettering, art, and more. It’s time to redefine what a creative looks like.

Blacks Who Design

Blacks Who Design highlights all of the inspiring Black designers in the industry. The goal is to inspire new designers, encourage people to diversify their feeds, and discover amazing individuals to join your team.

The Native Graphic Design Project

The Native Graphic Design Project is intended as a way to increase the visibility of Native, Native American, First Nations, American Indian, AmerIndian, Aboriginal, Metís, Native Alaskan, Indigenous, Indígina, and Inuit people working in the field of graphic design.

Ours Truly

Ours Truly (FKA Tender Table) is a home base to nurture kinship among folks who are Black, Indigenous, and people of color in PDX

Diversity in Design

Diversity in Design empowers BIPOC design professionals, amplifies our accomplishments, and inspires the next generation to reach their full potential.
